ECAS is a European association based in Brussels which aims: i) To strengthen civil society in the member and applicant countries of the EU; ii) Develop a more inclusive European citizenship; and iii) Campaign for transparency and reform of the EU institutions.
ECAS is currently looking for a trainee, preferably for a full gap year of work experience, to carry out the following tasks:
- Basic help with the running of the office, schedule of meetings, timesheets, reception of visitors and organisation of travel;
-Assistance with the organisation of membership services and subscriptions;
-Promotion of the ECAS annual guide to European funding;
- Partnership arrangements for developing different language versions of the guide;
- Assistance with the preparation of call for proposals/tenders service and reports;
- Assisting the coordinator for setting up national contact points for the European civil society house.
Candidates should have excellent language and communication skills preferably in English and French. Knowledge of the environment in which ECAS works is a distinct advantage. Preference will be given to candidates who have knowledge of the non-profit sector and its needs through voluntary work or studies relating to civil society.
It would also be an advantage to have studied or had some practical experience of working with the EU Institutions.
