Between 5 and 8 October 2009 the OPEN DAYS will take place in Brussels. In this framework 125 seminars, workshops, debates and exhibitions have been organised for around 7,000 participants. ECAS is one of more than 250 event partners that will participate in this event. The OPEN DAYS’ objective is to facilitate exchange, debate and networking among Europe’s experts and decision-makers in regional and local development from the public, private and financial sector.

ECAS is organising a workshop entitled “Partnership principle – and practice?” which will take place on Wednesday 7 October 2009 in the Borschette Centre. The Partnership principle aims to achieve the closest possible cooperation in each Member State between the Commission and the relevant authorities at national, regional and local level throughout all the various phases of the Structural Funds from its preparation to implementation (including monitoring and evaluation).
