Since its' foundation in 1968, the American war era, the Medical Committee Netherlands - Vietnam has given practical and material medical aid to the people of Vietnam. During the last ten years the focal point of this aid has been shifting towards the training and teaching of workers in local health organizations.

MCNV mission statement: To translate the solidarity of individual donors in The Netherlands into effective structural improvements in the health situation of groups who need it most in the Vietnamese society and in other Southeast Asian countries. To carry out its mission, MCNV uses a range of strategies that fit its unique position as an NGO working for many years in Vietnam while responding to the changing needs in that country and the region.
